Order Selection

The Restaurant POS system allows staff to take orders based on various service types, making it easier to manage customer preferences and streamline operations. Whether the order is placed at the counter, on the phone, from a table, or via an online platform, the system provides dedicated options to handle each case smoothly.

Available order types include:

  • Dine In
  • Take Away
  • Delivery
  • Drive Through
  • Carhope
  • Aggregator Orders (Noon, Talabat)

Let’s take a closer look at how each option works.

Dine In

The Dine In option is used when customers are seated and ordering from within the restaurant. After selecting this mode, the system displays available table layouts categorized under zones such as YAS Mall Inside and YAS Mall Outside.

  • In the Inside zone, tables are grouped by rooms, floors, or sections to make navigation easier for staff.
  • In the Outside zone, you’ll see patio or exterior seating arrangements.

Once a table is selected, a pop-up appears prompting you to enter the number of guests (pax) assigned to that table. This helps the kitchen and service team manage portions and service timing.

🔴 Tables highlighted in red indicate they are currently occupied and have an ongoing order.

Take Away

Used for walk-in customers who prefer to pick up their order. To place the order, you can go straight to the menu, select items, and proceed to billing. It’s quick, simple, and designed for speed.

Delivery

Used for home or office deliveries.

  1. Tap Delivery from the order options.
  2. Search for an existing customer by name or mobile number.
  3. To add a new customer, tap the (plus) icon and enter their contact details.
  4. After selecting or adding the customer, proceed to choose items from the menu and confirm the order.

Drive Through

This option supports orders taken at a drive-through point. It’s optimized for identifying and tracking customers by vehicle.

When an order is placed:

  • Select Drive Through.
  • Enter the vehicle’s registration number and select the Emirate from the dropdown.
  • Add order items and complete the process.

Carhope

Carhope is a unique feature for restaurants offering car-side service within parking areas. In this mode, customers park nearby and place an order, which is then served directly to their vehicle. Staffs can select the Carhope option to assign the order and note vehicle details if required.

Aggregator Orders

If an order is placed through third-party delivery platforms like Noon or Talabat, staff can register the order through the corresponding aggregator option.

  • Tap Noon or Talabat from the order type list.
  • These orders are often integrated and pre-filled with item and customer data.
  • Staff can review and confirm the order before sending it to the kitchen.
